The Gift of Life
Here’s a story that always brings me back to what matters most:
A group of scientists—brilliant minds—had cracked the code of cloning and believed they’d unlocked the secrets of life itself. With this discovery in hand, they decided it was time to have a meeting with God. Their message?
“Thanks, but your services are no longer needed.”
They told God, “Yes, You created life from the dust of the earth… but we can do that now. Science has it covered. You can retire.”
God paused for a moment and said, “Interesting. Show me.”
The scientists reached down to gather some dirt. And in that moment, God said,
“Ah ah ah… get your own dirt.”
I love that story. Because it reminds us: no matter how advanced we get, no matter how much we think we control, we are never the Source. We are stewards, not owners.
Even this very life—your breath, your body, your heartbeat—is not something you created. It was given to you. Every person you love, every opportunity you hold, every experience you treasure—they are all gifts. They are on loan from the Infinite. And they are sacred.
We can forget that. We get busy, distracted, and start thinking of life as something to manage instead of something to marvel at. But when we pause and remember… even just for a moment… we return to the truth:
This day is a gift.
The people in your life are a gift.
Your very presence here is a miracle.
So today, walk with wonder. Let appreciation lead your steps.
You’re walking in abundance—because you’re walking in life itself.
